Anyone can apply for a Spark Grant

The outdoor exercise equipment by the Beach House downtown was the fantastic idea of a local student at Hudson High School to help create healthy spaces. Not only is this a great outdoor gym with easy access for our community – it’s free to use!

In 2023, a SPARK Grant helped fund the Lakefront Heritage Project, a series of banners erected along the walking path in Lakefront Park that tell the story of Hudson's history.
That idea started with a vision for making Hudson better by creating an outdoor, accessible history walk that everyone could enjoy for free – all year round.

The SPARK Grant supports innovative ideas that improve life for those who live, learn, play, and work in Hudson—just ask the Hudson Dog Park, one of our past recipients! This year, finalists will pitch their ideas live at the SPARK Tank Challenge.

Start with a Pitch Preview — selected applicants will be invited to apply for the full grant. You don't need to be a nonprofit. You just need an idea worth fighting for.

Community Minded

The Hudson Community Foundation connects philanthropy with the needs of the community in an effort to continually improve the Greater Hudson Area. We have achieved this vision through a strong history of grants, numerous community forums, and the sponsorship of new community ideas through Project Spark.

Future Focused

While our focus is making progress and improvements within our great city of Hudson, the focus of the St. Croix Valley Foundation is regional and beyond. SCVF provides administrative support and assists with our fiduciary responsibilities with investing our funds. The Hudson Community Foundation and SCVF work hand-in-hand, and we'll make a difference! Together, we are focused on the present and the future!
